Description

Sunstone – cabochons (oval), 10–15 mm

Sunstone is a feldspar, usually oligoclase, with fine hematite or goethite inclusions that glitter in the light. Mohs hardness 6 to 6.5; colours run from salmon to brown.

Cabochons are flat on the back and domed on top, for bezel or glue-on settings.

Care: clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, then wipe dry. An ultrasonic bath is not necessary for natural stone.
