Description

Rhodonite – cabochons

Rhodonite is a manganese silicate with a rose-red base colour, usually cut by black manganese oxide veins. Mohs hardness 5.5 to 6.5; the pattern differs on every piece.

Cabochons are flat on the back and domed on top, for bezel or glue-on settings.

Care: clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, then wipe dry. An ultrasonic bath is not necessary for natural stone.
