Moonstone – faceted, 5–8 mm

Moonstone is a feldspar showing adularescence, a floating sheen of light. White to bluish material dominates the trade, alongside peach and grey varieties. Mohs hardness 6.

Faceted stones carry cut faces that break the light, so the stone appears lighter or darker depending on the angle. Drilled.

Care: clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, then wipe dry. An ultrasonic bath is not necessary for natural stone.
