Description

Lapis Lazuli – cabochons, 10 mm

Lapis lazuli is a rock of lazurite, calcite and pyrite rather than a single mineral. Blue comes from lazurite, white flecks from calcite, golden dots from pyrite. Mohs hardness 5 to 6.

Cabochons are flat on the back and domed on top, for bezel or glue-on settings.

Care: clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth, then wipe dry. An ultrasonic bath is not necessary for natural stone.
